The Penn State Berks Sustainability Team along with the Kittatinny Sierra Club sponsored a screening of What Lies Upstream on Friday November 9, 2018 in room 5 of the Luerssen Building at the campus. A reception at 6:30 pm was followed by the screening at 7 pm. The event was free and open to the public.
Penn State Berks students participated in a citizen scientist project sponsored by the Sierra Club Wastewater Residuals Grassroots Network (WR-GN). Panelists discussed the project, student findings about what lies upstream and downstream along our Berks County portion of the Schuylkill River, and our role in water quality.
Participating Penn State Berks Citizen Scientists were CJ Carty, Myles Chikuni, Brooke Eveland, Jamie Greenwood, Kellen Redcay, Daniel Samolewicz, Ashley Straka, and Aarchi Talati.
Panelists included Dr. Mahsa Kazempour and Dr. Jayne Park-Martinez from Penn State Berks, along with Darree Sicher, Rachel Rosenfeld, and Jonathan Day from Kittatinny Sierra Club.
